    ISC sold?

I headr from a friend that there's a story in Autosport in the UK that ISC - which has all the commercial rights to the WRC - is going to be sold to North One TV.

North One produces all the TV coverage for ISC and, apparently, is owed money by ISC.

If true, this means the end of David Richards owning World Rally. Anybody know the situation?

    Thanks.

My comment about Autosport was because this is not the first time that something published in Autosport magazine is not described or explained on this forum.

ISC is in big troubles... and WRC too

NEW DEAL TABLED FOR WORLD RALLY
THE FUTURE of the World Rally Champions took another turn this week when international Sportsworld Communicators - the commercial rights holder— was thought to have been sold to North One Television
Rumors concerning ISC’s future have been circulating for much of the season. Those rumors were further fuelled when ISC staff departed their office in Chelsea earlier this month and moved into Northone’s north London office.
North One has provided host broadcast coverage to the WRC since August 2000 and has produced ITV’s programmes since 2004,
Both parties involved declined to comment officially on the deal, but insiders from ISC and North One claim an agreement has been reached and will be announced in the near future.
ISC has consistently denied any deal had been done regarding the sale of ISC but he admitted the firm would listen to a any approach made, There were rumors that Long was on the verge of a departure from the WRC, having been poached for another role in sport. Since the reported North One take over, Long is now said to best staying in the WRC
One source close to the deal said: “People have been fairly down around here for the last couple of months, but there’s a real air of enthusiasm now. Things are happening in the WRC and the future is looking very, very bright – particularly on the television side We’re all excited about things.”

    • Premium TV, The firm responsible for providing the infrastructure for the WRC’s official website. wrc.com, is also reckoned to be the target for takeover. According to website sportbusiness.com, Russian billionaire Len Blavatnik has offered £25 million for Premium TV.

Looks like then have been bailed out by NorthOne

After reading the full article, ISC is not in troubles because it seems that finaly someone that know how to work on the tv business will start managing the company. WRC only has advantages of this.
