    Question [search] - C 868 EUD history

    Hi everoby

    i would like to make the history of a metro 6R4 : C 868 EUD.
    i juste know that Belgian driver Marc Duez used this car in 1986 in his national championship and in some WRC events. but don't know with wich result ?

    this car was an ex-works ? who use C 868 EUD after Duez ?

    i take all informations.

    I have a little bit info: the results from Marc Duez in 1986 with this car.

    Rallye de Portugal Vinho do Porto: Withdrawn from the rally.
    Rallye Sanremo: Retired with engine problems.
    Lombard RAC Rally: Retired with engine problems.
    Boucles de Spa: Retired
    Haspengouw: Retired
    Ypres 24 Hours: Third
    Hunsrück: First
    Bianchi: Fourth
    Condroz: Retired
    Mémorial Bettega: Third

    thanks mousti , but are you sure marc used C 868 EUD all the year ? because i have found some pics of the belga's metro , and the reg number was different sometimes : C 730 HDF !

    Is it possible that C 868 EUD raced with differents team ? (renting by the works team for some privater like belga team) ?

    Duez was a works driver in 86, but I don't know what deal Belga had with the factory. He drove different Metro's that year. He ran C97 KOG with official colours on Hunsrück rally in Germany.

    He drove C 730 HDF on the final rounds in Belgium, that's for sure!

    Another thing: he finished 2nd and not 4th on Bianchi rally 86.

    another point who could make progress the search , i have seen on some videos and photos that C867 and C 869 EUD ran the RAC in 1985 ! C 868 EUD could been built in the same time ? so one of the first 6R4 ? C868 EUD could been used at the begining for some test or reece ?

    There was no recce on the RAC in those days. The 85 RAC was the first International event appearance of the 6R4 and if the Duez 86 programme in Belgium was firm by then it seems likely that 868 was built around the same time as the two 85 RAC cars. It would have had to be in Belgium by February 86 for Spa.
