Welcome to the forum, yes this is the right section.

The answer to your question is yes. The most significant example of this is Jim Clark, and I'm sure there have been many more less reported fatalities across the globe.

Well they are all significant as they all represent a loss in human life. However, you might want to ask someone else on these forums about the more historically noted ones, as there are many F3 series across the world as opposed to just the one F1 series, so it is inevitable that there will be deaths in in F3 as, of course, racing is dangerous. Why do you ask?

I've asked because, I want to make a memorial video for F1, F2 and F3 drivers. When I say F2 and F3, I mean when F2 and F3 were very close to F1. And F2 and F3 champions would (Normally) always go to F1 in the 60's, 70's and 80's.

P.S I am going to be away for the next couple of weeks, so if you could be please give me some names and I will put them in a memorial video.

    F2 -
    Gerry Birrell-1973 Rouen
Ivor Bueb - 1959 Clermont Ferrand
    Jim Clark - 1968 Hockenheim
    Bert Hawthorne - 1972 Hockenheim
    Markus Hottinger - 1980 Hockenheim
    Herbert McKay-Fraser - 1957 Reims
    Gerhard Mitter - 1969 Nurburgring

Those are a few. But Clark was the main one.
