SS7 will not be resumed. The crew involved in the incident have been taken to hospital for further examination.

SS8 has been cancelled for safety reasons unrelated to the incident.

what a Farce....4 stages for most of the Crews....it would have been better to stay at the Acores

    SS8 as well cancelled.
Why, is it not normal to give reasons, with a bit more meat than "safety reasons"?

33% cancelations seems a bit too much.

Hope its all ok with Araújo. The whole rally is giving WRC Portugal 2001 vibes. There are better places in Portugal to run a gravel rally at this time of the year, or if you want to stick it around the same area just turn it into a tarmac rally like in 2020. I'm speaking against myself but i'm not a fan of running a lot of stages in both the ERC and WRC either.

Probably in case a crash happens the emergency vehicles cannot get there because of the road condition. That's my guess.

Southern Portugal at Albufeira area this time of the year is of course much more better place. Was at the wrc event in 2011 there.

Araújo punctured (at least air came out of the tire) right front just before the crash, already seen a video of it and it's quite clear.
