Is the Grand Prix Masters series still running? Last I heard, Nigell Mansell was kicking everyone's butt with the notable exception of Emerson Fittipaldi (God love ya, Emo), who was like an itch that Nigell couldn't scratch...

Things have certainly gone a little quiet on the GPM front, but there are 2 races in the calendar - Kyalami (23rd Sept) & Qatar (17th Nov). We have also been promised a 3rd race, as yet unannounced.

The opening race of the 2007 season was due to take place this weekend at a new street circuit in Bucharest, but according to reports the organisers wanted to renegotiate deals that had been made when the event was announced. As a result GPM are not in Bucharest.

It is a little surprising that the GP Masters has not "kicked on" as everyone anticipated it would when it was first instigated. All the ingredients seemed to be in place for a successful project, but things are moving very tentatively at the moment.
