    If I understand right, it's not connected to an external air intake, but instead draws air from inside the bonnet cavity. It's a system that provides air to the engine when the water splash valve is closed (for example in river crossings or in very heavy dusty sections like Kenya). It will only work for a very short period of time, but probably enough to survive an extreme water/dust section.

    If you want four minute gaps for everyone, the stage will last for 4-5 hours. And it should be repeated in three and half hours.

    Also if you want the day to start later to have no dust problems, the day will then just be shorter of stage kilometres.
