wooohooo!! I just checked that site, there's a rally in New England when I will be there!! Great news, I can check out an American rally I just hope it's not too far away from where I'm staying.
Shame I miss the stpr, if it's the best.. What's your opinion of the New England Forest rally?

I've never been to the N.E. Forest Rally, but I've heard it's awesome! Very similar to the STPR in fact. I'm sure you'll love it! Although if you've been to any Rallies in Europe, you may notice that our (U.S.) style isn't quite that fast... yet! If only we could get WRC class cars over here it'd be amazing!!!
A bit too pricey for most of our competitors I'm affraid. Who knows, if Mr. Pastrana & his crew can keep up the spotlight for Rallying here in the U.S. -maybe we'll catch up to the Euro. boys sooner than expected??? Enjoy the Rally!!!!

The Vermont Motorsports group (http://www.vtcar.com/) is located not too far from where my Dad lives in Vermont... maybe one of these days I'll go there & check out their operation. Who knows maybe they need another Tech. That'd be a blast! There's also a Rally driving school in New HAmpshire that I intend to attend someday soon if the $$$ can be found for it. http://teamoneil.com/school.rally.htm Check it out if you're near there.

ouch, just checked http://www.viamichelin.co.uk It's about 350-400 km to Berlin N.H. from where I will be staying... (we'll be staying around the Cape Cod area) I guess it will depend how far south they drive stages and if we pair a visit to two or three stages of the rally with something else up there.
The rally school looks awesome but very expensive

NEFR is one of the more well attended East Coast events.

It is kind of rough though and the trees can make spectating difficult when considering the fixed and closed spectator locations (stages will be cancelled if spectators are found in dangerous locations).

It will be interesting to see what happens at STPR and NEFR this year. NEFR will be the last event before the X games but all teams will be invited and or qualified by that point, unlike last year, when the last two spots were up for grabs.

That said STPR will be really interesting, only 3 drivers have clinched their invites so they have nothing to go for but nothing to lose. 5 other spots are up for grabs and while a couple of teams simply need a solid finish others will have to fight their way in. Will more teams push? Will the teams that are already in go crazy and try to win the event? If so how will that effect the races for the last spots as valuable points will be taken? Will we see any surprises. The last spot has 3 drivers within 7 points or each other. With STPRs endurance aspect it will be interesting to see how it all shapes up. We were hoping to be a dark horse long shot but Olympus problems ended that.

It's gonna' be killer!! Hope I can get to the "Splash" spectator area before the hordes of other fans do, & get a good spot for camera angles!!
