    all the best for you're recovery. i too had a very similar injury and operation after a wall jumped out infront of me !! im fully recovered now but can hurt and stiffen up when its cold ( yey for global warming ! ).

    Hey! Yeah the doc's said i will have arthritis, and that i will struggle in the cold weather. The pain was incredible! Basically, the floorpan caved in and crushed my legs. I was lucky on that day, i was a passenger in an Audi A4, doc's said if i had of been in my Cooper S, i would most likely be dead.
    Needless to say, i sold my mini, while in hospital, and bought a couple of beema's instead! Nothing like a good bit of 'ol german craftmanship!
