[WRC] Rally Estonia 15-18 July 2021
Rally Guide 1 is out https://rallyestonia.com/userfiles/f...1_11032021.pdf
24 stages are planned as we can see.
Shakedown on Thursday
like i wrote in the News thread, if everything goes smoothly then 50 000 people are planned to allow but at the moment we are one of the worst in Europe regarding the new COVID cases, so at the moment this plan doesnt look realistic but its only March.Last edited by EstWRC; 16th March 2021 at 10:43.

In important date section they have written: 15 July - Shakedown. Rally Start. SS1. Maybe they've changed plan.

The 2021 edition of Rally Estonia will be a run as a 4-day event, one day longer than in 2020, with Start Podium and SS1 on Thursday evening and Finish on Sunday afternoon.
The basic locations will be the same as in 2020. The Rally HQ will be located in the Estonian National Museum and the Service Park next to it on Raadi airfield. The Start and Finish Podium will be on the airfield as last year.
The rally will comprise of 24 Special Stages with the SS distance of ca 320 km. The overall distance including the road sections will be close to 1300 km. Two Special Stages run on Saturday will be in a new region where Rally Estonia stages have never been driven before. The short Tartu Special Stage will be run again near the Service Park at Raadi on Thursday and Saturday evening, but in opposite direction compared to last year. The Power Stage (ca 7,5 km) will be run at Raadi as well, close to the Service Park, immediately followed by the podium.
No Special Stage will be 100% the same as last year.

From the rally guide:
The 2020 edition of Rally Estonia was a big challenge for us in many ways. During the preparation and the event
itself, we introduced several innovations together with the FIA, the WRC Promoter and the Estonian state. In the
process, we all learned a lot. We have done our own analyses and in 2021 we can definitely do it better by planning
ahead. One example here is certainly the management of COVID-19 and the activities that go with it.
Regarding the competitive element, the rally will be one day longer in 2021 and we are introducing new Special
Stages in new areas. Average speeds are rather a bit lower than in the previous year and the stages involve more
forest roads. We will bring the Power Stage directly to the heart of the rally, to the Estonian National Museum, where
the Rally HQ and Service Park are located. This gives us the opportunity to finish WRC Rally Estonia 2021 on the
main podium at the Estonian National Museum.
As our team grows, we will become a rally with about 3,000 organisers.Last edited by AnttiL; 16th March 2021 at 10:53.

Sigh... I was worried the rallies would end up like this. And I am afraid that Rally Finland will be very similar. What a nonsense anyway. Having 1000 (or whatever is the limit) people in one field is better than having them spread over the whole stage?

Did Jan Solans get 3 points for his 8th place at the end of saturday? Wikipedia and WRC site shows he didn't, eWRC shows he did.
