What is the best F1 race you have ever watched?
I have seen a lot truly great F1 races but for me the battle between Hamilton and Rosberg at Bahrain in the 2014 season was epic by all measure. If you can't remember it, check out the youtube link below to recap on one of the hardest fought inter-teammate rivalry since Senna and Prost.

I don't exactly remember the 2014 Bahrain GP fondly since their defending and attacking were a bit over the line as far as I'm concerned. I recall both Hamilton and Rosberg not taking track limits too seriously and that's cheating as far as I'm concerned.
I would name Hungary 2006 and Spa 2008, although the latter was... well, you know. Valencia 2012 also was a terribly entertaining race to watch, even if perhaps not exactly a great one.

Yep, probably Hungary 2006 for me too. And maybe Nurburgring 2007. I have unreasonable expectations from a wet race since those two. And Spa 2000. And Suzuka 2005. Thinking of these races convinced me that my opinion of these days' f1 is not influenced by rosy tinted glasses of nostalgia. F1 is nowadays much worse beyond any doubt.

We're all forgetting the most exciting race of this decade: the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix.

Hungary 2006, Jenson Button's first F1 win and a great day for Honda. That race had so many twists and turns and great racing through out the field.

It’s hard to say because none of the great races actually stand out as being the absolute best. All the races mentioned so far in this thread were great but Monaco 96 was absolutely mental. Spa 95, 98 (just for the big smash). Japan 2000 because it was such high stakes and two great drivers pushing balls to the wall for the championship. Imola 05 and 06.
Hungary 98 just for appreciating great driving from the great man Schumacher. All his wins that year were brilliant. I can thoroughly enjoy a race without lots of overtaking as long as drivers are flat out. So many great races but none of them stand out as the greatest to me.

Monaco, 1970. The race wasn't all that special 'til the last 15 laps or so when Rindt was thrashing his aged 49 guardrail to guardrail, lap record after lap record (best lap .8 sec under pole time iirc) in his pursuit of poor Jack. A drive to be seen...thus a race to be seen. (yup, 'checked, Jackie's pole was 1'24"0, Jochen's best lap 1'23"2; 2nd fastest driver of the race was Siffert .9 sec slower. )
