Buddy, how does this thing work. Especially since most people are mixing chassis with other engines. This is my first time so be patient with me.

    No problem.

You pick a team that adds up to 48 - two drivers, one 3rd driver, and a chassis and engine. The reason the engine is now team specific is because we no longer have many engines to choose from. Since there are basically four engines to choose from changing this to team specific, mclaren-renault, for instance, gives us more options in selecting a team.
You Do Not have to choose the same team for chassis and engine (and for drivers). You can mix and match whatever you want so long as your team does not goes over the 48,000,000 million budget cap.

    Does that explanation help?

Great, l got that much. What l don't get is how do you workout if you are winning or losing. Do you tally up the drivers actual race points after each race or is it based on the chassis or engine?

Points are awarded throughout the race weekend and are detailed below:
Only the first chassis and engine that crosses the line scores points for your team.
Driver, Chassis, and Team Engine scores are 1st-10th: 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1.
Drivers who do the following receive extra points:
For the driver who obtains the pole position he will be rewarded with 2 extra points.
The driver with the fastest lap at the conclusion of a race is rewarded with 1 extra point.
Once your team is set please visit the forum and post your team there. They will be moved into the Teams page as they show up on the forum.
