100% sure they will let Loeb win.

All the plans from Citroen this season are about maximum publicity for least amount of money. Loeb winning gives maximum publicity, Meeke winning WDC is extremely uncertain prospect and possibly also gives less publicity even if it happens.

    -----------
Agree about Ogier, it was quite clear his motivation went up 2-3 times the normal level when Loeb was ahead of him in Mexico.

Yaris itself was actually quite ok, when its drivers were up to the job and not battling with themselves/health/setups/ditches. Both placed several Top 3 stage times+ JML won the powerstage.

Quite ok yes, but clearly behind Meeke (Citroen), Ogier (Ford) and both Neuville and Sordo (Hyundai). Barely kept ahead of Breen (2nd Citroen). Tanak (2nd Ford) was also ahead before crashing. That does make it the slowest car of the 4.

Also last years powerstage had quite different character than the rest of the rally.

Also, Latvala is good at power stages, he was pushing to catch Breen, whereas Neuville probably wanted to secure his first win of the year and Ogier had mechanical problems.

That`s the part where drivers come into play and why we didn`t see the cars own full potential.

Hope someone films them trying to drag the car out of there. Interesting project.
