Not great but smart. No mistakes unlike Loeb, Meeke & Lappi.

He didn't really have a good Germany result either before 2017. He's becoming a true championship contender, fast everywhere.

Improved much from 2000 https://youtu.be/bCX-XXZH6NM?t=21m17s I suspect the same is done for Desert des Agriates, which looked also very Catalunya like. Loeb's winning average speed was 108.8 km/h, back in 1993 (Casta - Pietra Monetta) only 94.13 km/h

No it's not. The above statement applies to asphalt only. The car is good enough to aim for the championship.

The car must be competetive on different surfaces to have a chance at championship. I'm talking about Mikkelsen and drivers championship.
He said something about homework ?

Well, Neuville won this event last year with no complaining. Citroen was also heading that way and has shown good pace this weekend. Toyota was also struggiling last year with both drivers occasionally showing good stage times, one of them continued like that this weekend, two were much faster. Ogier is heading for a solid victory whereas Evans on one of his good events is fighting with Mikkelsen. The cars are not to blame imho.

I disagree. The list of surfaces and conditions where Hyundai looses time to Ford and Toyota is getting longer. (using Neuville and Sordo as references)

    From 2017:
    - smooth tarmac
    - Finland

    This year added:
    - bumpy and dirty tarmac (ref. Novella stage 2017 vs 2018)
    - faster gravel stages (Mexico)

Ford was by far more universal from before and now Toyota seems to be coming up.
