Neuville was lucky he could shoot the gap. If he was wider those weeds wouldn't have stopped the car and it would have landed on its nose or roof.

Seemingly not according to 'a source' telling David Evans/Autosport:

A source told Autosport: "The car suffered some bodywork [damage] to the front.

"The bonnet took a hit and there might have been some engine damage, but they [Neuville and co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul] were out of the car straight away - with wet feet.

"It wasn't a very big deal, probably the hardest thing for the team might be getting the car out of the river."

Judging from the pictures it's far from totalled. Rollcage damage is of course impossible to tell without closer look, but car seems relatively ok. It only looks dramatic as it's such a drop from the road.

Belgian media even reported it was incredible they escaped this crash. Looks spectacular, but probably wasn't at high speed.
