Muurame is probably shakedown this year also.

Muurame 2010 SD was the year when it was hot, hot, hot weather! Man, remember staying the night before SD at camping near junction. No sleeping bag needed.

That day, July 29th 2010, is the hottest day recorded in Finland, 37,2 celcius in Eastern Finland, Liperi. I think in Jyväskylä it was around 36 degrees. The next night it all erupted in a big thunderstorm. I remember hearing over 50 trees fallen over Myhinpää stage. In the morning they put two forestry machine, one from each end to work and it was all clear by the time of the stage. All phone and data were dead on afternoon loop.

Rannankylä in Muurame hasn't been used since because some of the locals are opposed to it. Would be happy if that has changed since.

Yep. And Konnevesi was out of power, when I arrived one hour before Sirkkamäki stage. Still got a cup of coffee and sandwich at lokal Kahvila. They had propane for heating water.

I find Finnlines 100% more expensive than Viking Line.

Any news about the stages for this Year? We are planning trip from Czech republic and cannot wait for that Hope for Urria, Jukojarvi and Ouninpohja in classic format Muurame Shakedown would be amazing. Anybody can confirm that?

Nothing confirmed yet. I'm 99% sure Ouninpohja is not driven, but the Kakaristo 2008/2014 version instead. You will have the sideways jump and the Kakaristo junction, but not the yellow house jump. Also, I'm fairly confident Urria will be out of the itinerary, as it's one of the fastest stages. Jukojärvi, I'd say 50/50 chances.

Only two weeks until the route is announced. Can't wait.

The latest rumor coming from twitter: https://twitter.com/KariNuutinen/sta...65686600908801 The Assistant Clerk of the Course is having a winter drive on Päijälä.
