Can't forget this lumbering old beast being driven with a very impressive level of commitment!

Rally Whangarei this weekend 4-6th May 2018. Round 2 NZRC and Round 1 of APRC http://www.chrissport.co.nz

Paddon and Peden (co-driver for this rally) fastest on the opening stage.
Thomson marginally faster than Holder (JWRC) in the opening stage. (Fiesta battle)

Good looking entry list for South Canterbury in a couple of weeks, 96 entries including Paddon, Reeves, Quinn and a bunch of the usual suspects. Think I will have to head up with the camera.

Paddon in-car video from South Canterbury. Did the 'Spring Rally' of old use these types of roads? Fast roads: stage one average speed 130.32 km/h (15km) 2- 130.45 km/h (32km) 4- 132.43 km/h (18km) (Crunch used say he did not like tarmac stages because they were too fast, I wonder what he thought of those South Canterbury gravel stages)
