    simple english translation for other languages pacenotes?

    Okay maybe stupid idea, but maybe you finnish and french guys help me with this. I watches loeb and gronholm onboard driving and sometimes I wish I knew what they means. Those online translations don't work very well and not reliable anyway. I'm sure some other peoples would like to know it.

    Simple things like: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 100, 200, jump, crest, flat, open narrow, dip, etc.

    I saw it somewhere in the net 2-3 years ago though...

    Finnish:
    jarru (´jarro´)=break
    Pitkä(´pittkae´)= long
    Sata= hundred
    oikealle=to the right
    vasemmalle=to the left

    And they often just say the number like five for 50.

    Viisi (Viis)= 5

    I believe I started this thread 5 years ago before getting bored with WRC and started following F1. I found a few more finish notes from a youtuber:

    Käännä = Turn
    Nyppy = Crest
    Kirraa = Tightens
    Summppuun = Narrows
    Oikea = Right
    Vasen = Left
    Lyhyt = Short
    Aukeaa = Opens
    Nopea = Fast
    Hidas = Slow
    Jarru = Brake
    Huomio = Attention / Caution
    Serpo = Hairpin

    Nice idea tmx!

    I wondered like you when I watched onboard videos of Loeb and Ogier.
    I don't understand French but after I watched videos many times I could recognized some French words.

    And here is well explained video about pace notes by Neil Cole
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHGi9YntST4

    gauche = left
    droite = right
    gauchi = easy left
    droiti = easy right
    ferme = tighten
    ouvre = open
    ciel = crest
    pas corde = don't cut

    quarante = 40
    cinquante = 50
    soixante = 60
    soixante-dix = 70
    qauatre-vingts = 80
    qauatre-vingts-dix = 90
    cent = 100

    I think it was on the coverage from the last event in Turkey, Loeb explained his system on it. Very detailed from what I remember and he drives to them absolutely - I remember being impressed when I saw that and it takes a lot to impress me
