Hybrid seems the only way ahead in using mainly electric power.

But combined with a tiny petrol motor tuned to give maximum noise. The local kids with their deafening scrambler bikes have such an engine already !

I thought the C4 hybrid concept was an interesting idea, which was tested in 2009 I think. Electric for transport, fuel consumption during stages.

That was 9 years ago that they were anticipating a change to more enviro-friendly cars...

And what did we get by 2017... even more powerful petrol WRC's and no eco-engine even for the liaison !

The Fiesta has an 'Ecoboost' engine, that's good enough.

Batteries and environment friendly. In that case N.O.T really is the God.

rally will never adopt hybrid or electric technology with the current evolution of batteries... fire hazard is too high still for rallying with the current automotive batteries.

Walking through the park this morning along a narrow track, I went to walk along the other side and was hit by a bloody Prius coming up silently behind me...

    Noise matters car makers !
