'cos thread is slow, so just a speculation re Rovanperä - he was driving Skoda for a last few years, and now his weapon will be Fiesta - anyone with a guess how this could make a difference? its should be some differences, or not in R5 cars? like braking, weight distribution etc... many points! but on the other hand, he nearly never crashed whatsever he was driving, so lets hope to see some nice driving over this weekend

Not much I would guess. The best drivers seem to adapt pretty quick.

Fiesta is easier and frendlier to drive than Fabia. It should be no problem to addapt.

No disrespect to Kalle and his talent, but wasn't his season in the Italian championship full of crashes?

Sirmacis won't participate in Rally Liepaja. Unfortunatelly.

Decision is based on future plans to save resources for next season - for training, tests. Goal - WRC2 starts in next season.
Cooperation with SRT team seems over also. Source (in Latvian) - http://4rati.lv/rallijs/sirmaca-ekip...rally-liepaja/

Hmm. He has problems to find budget for ERC season and he wants to try WRC2? Good luck, maybe he will find somebody with lot of money (or he found him)...
