Surely Brynildsen is far more likely to do the British Championship than the ERC? He did the Pirelli International in Kielder this year (with no luck) and Rally GB, they were his only two rallies outside of Scandinavia in the last two years. I'd presumed they were a toe in the water before a possible full campaign? ERC doesn't really seem to suit his recent experience and the ERC is surely an expensive way to learn tarmac rallies? Yeah okay if Dmack are paying fair enough, but I can't see that he's the most suitable candidate for an ERC campaign available to them.

Most of them did IRC before IRC and ERC was merged so while You're technically correct it's not reflecting the reality in my opinion.
Bergkvist is JERC winner so that he was ERC regular. Adielsson was JERC regular. Kristiansen was sort of semi-regular. He did 4 ERC events in 2014 and at least 2 in 2015 and 2016.
Mikkelsen, Nikara, P-G, Gardemeister, Sandell, Alén, Joge, Flodin were IRC regulars in at least one full season.Last edited by Mirek; 21st November 2017 at 12:16.

That's a fact, that WRC>ERC, but they talked about running ERC team with R5 machines, so alternative is WRC2, from this point of view WRC+ERC campaign is better than WRC+WRC2, in therms of different rallies, and possibilities to be on podium overall in more amount of rallies.
