Great job by Ogier, apart from that ditch excursion really smart drive by him.
Also great job by Toyota, didn't expect that! No technical problems and all drivers drove well, shame for Lappi's mistake at the end, but at least he didn't DNF because of that. Tanak already impressive and Latvala with a mature and smart drive.
Good job by Meeke also. Bad start for Hyundai, but they showed speed, really a shame for the 4 minutes loss by Neuville on SS1.

BTW, do you remember any event with 70 penalties (more than crews on start)? - https://rally-base.com/2017/rallye-m...-2017/penalty/

Okay, Ogier won his home event but continues with small mistakes which will cost him in the next rallies. Neuville - very fast with this heavy understeering car and he was actually pretty solid. His off in the first day was not a big mistake but this is Monte.
Mikelsen had absolutely no idea what he is doing this weekend, a miracle he reached the finish somehow! Breen and Meeke - a total tragedy and complaining all the time. So many childish mistakes and low concentration. The car can't be that bad, actually it looks quite balanced and smooth compared to Toyota and Hyundai.
Lappi spent so many years in ERC he now gets exhausted after 200km. Drives good indeed in the first 1-2 days but still can't trust him.
Buff had never driven so powerful car before and he is grown enough to know you should not disappoint people who make you a big present. Also there's no need to push when Ogier and Evans are still above you.
Scenery is nice, but Rally2's on these type of roads aren't that interesting to watch at least
