Unusual silly mistake by Ogier, very lucky there were spectators nearby.
As I said in last year's Rally GB, when Ogier falls, he falls on his feet

    Sarrazin crashed.

And now all Škoda Motorsport crews on all top three RC2 places despite two of them being in private cars.

Not the point. He has stage wins.

Puncture last night, then running straight into the icy part with a cold tyre was unlucky.

Tanak has been absolutely incredible! It hurts to admit he might as well be the person who's shown the Yaris' true potential. Phenomenal drive from him. I'm surprised to see Latvala so slow though.

Last year he was very inconsistent, loosing tons on snow and getting stage wins on tarmac when far behind. Some said his snow issues were due to tires. By same logic stage wins could have been due to tires.

This year he is again inconsistent with issues on ice and also on todays stages (he wins one by 1-2 secs, then looses 20s in next).

So if you conclude that his stage wins were not only due to tires, then by same measure you can conclude his uneven performance and issues on snow/ice are also not only due to tires.

I wouldn't worry about Latvala just yet. He has always struggled in Monte. Last year he got second, but there were a lot of troubles for front runners and he really wasn't among the fastest.
