Rally Sweden will allow national cars for this edition of RS. http://www.emotorsport.se/nyheter.ph...yhets_id=14684
Allowed 4WD cars are Mbi Mirage R5 + EVO 7-9, Subaru Impreza 2002-2005, older Super 2000 cars from Ford, Peugeot and Skoda.
Allowed 2WD cars are Honda Civic Type R, Ford Fiesta St and 3 Renault Clio models.

BTW. Interesting thing is that eligible S2000 cars for national championship are Ford Fiesta, Skoda Fabia and Peugeot 207. I think it is the same for international championship. Does it mean all other brands have outdated homologation? I know Punto S2000 is useless for racing but I thought it has still valid homologation.

I’ve read somewhere that R4 will only be allowed in WRC from 2019, although they’ll run in Regional and National series next year. As it’s a new category (the kit will be homologated during the next days), probably FIA doesn’t want to have another “full house” category, like this year WRC Trophy…

There is a point that you miss with R4. It is market purpose is different. Cars will be eligable for Non-european WRC events as Oreca mentioned.
The reason is creating your R class car with local ASN approved car.

I am from Gran Canaria. I am absolutely convinced that there will be no problem with the rally.
