Ye, seen some talk about Sordo warning everyone except Mikkelsen due to Mikkelsen coming in and "stealing" a seat. Don't look like that's the case.

So what, they should fight and risk both their positions and team points with Hyundai in disaray ?

I don't get all the fuss about possible team orders to hold the positions between Tanak and Ogier.
Do you really think Malcom ora any other team boss would risk both championships because team orders are bad? What was the point NOT TO give team orders in that occasion?

No one is doing a fuss mate, just mentioning the fact that one title contender told in a press conference he was ordered to ease up. Why should we (and the press, btw) ignore it? Especially when the order came from the same team boss that a couple of days before publicly announced there would not be any orders at all?

'Team orders' in rallying has a bad connotation, as it usually implies an inferior driver being told to slow to let a better one pass.

But in this case the driver in front was the No.1. The No.2 driver was behind and with a car with an issue (gravel gearbox).

There is no big fuss being made in this case, as no-one thinks telling the No.2 driver to hold station is in any way a bad thing. Ogier & Tanak were not neck-and-neck for the title - Ogier had a clear lead.

M-Sport were about to virtually ensure the Manufacturer's championship AND have a 1-2 in the Driver's. No sane person would put that at risk by fighting among themselves.

There is nothing wrong with team orders, as long as both drivers are OK with it. Was Tanak happy? I don't know, hope he was.

Whether he was happy or not was irrelevant... it's a team sport.

If he thought fighting Ogier was a sensible idea at that point in the rally/season then he has a lot to learn.

Well, i think he was ok, because they were allowed to compete pretty much from the 2. half of 2. day till the 2. half of 3. day. Ogier was raising his advantage, there wasn`t much point and if there would have been a mistake from Ogier, then probably he would`ve beaten him.
