Can't quite believe what I'm seeing in the news from Catalunya. Incredible scenes. Have to wonder whether it will have any impact on the event.

I have the same feeling. If the unrest continues and the rumors about Catalunya becoming an independent state immediately come true, it will be impossible for the event to run.

The situation is very fluid at the moment to say for sure. Personally, I would avoid the area for the foreseeable future.

And now my flights to the rally disappear as Monarch Airlines goes belly up. Hopefully it's not effected too many others. Maybe it's a sign.

Unless a state of emergency is declared I would imagine the event will continue but is an obvious target for protesters to blockade.

"in the face of the serious events that are happening in our country against people of all ages and conditions that they want to vote, the RACC, from the maximum respect to the plurality of the opinions of its partners, supports the peaceful and peaceful attitude of society and expresses its condemnation to any type of violence and to those actions aimed at depriving the citizens of the right to express themselves peacefully and freely"

    Translated by Google Translate.
    If in doubt, flat out!

Story in AS that rally will not be affected by Catalan situation. The author Pipo Lopez is one of the most respected Spanish rally journalists. https://as.com/motor/2017/10/02/mas_...83_707183.html
