Just can't believe what a sad motorsport story this is. Young 17 year old F4 driver has lost both his legs in a horrific crash at Donnington Park.

It was one of those accidents we so often thankfully just avoid. A car spun on the straight and was stationary on the track as a group of cars came along at top speed and Billy Monger was unsighted. The car ahead swerved out of the way however Monger could not react in time and smashed straight into the back of the stationary car at least 120mph if not more.

I know it's racing but considering we are a motorsport forum it would be good to have somewhere to talk about this.

He is a true racer through and through. when bought out of his coma and told about what had happened. He started commenting on how he would need to learn how to use a hand clutch.
