It was originally planned on an August date this year, but because Rally Germany couldn't be pushed further a week due to Nato wargame in Baumholder area, both Finland and Germany stayed in their more common slots. Though, if it'll be in August next year, it'll be the first weekend of August, not later in the month as in the past.

Yes - Original calendar was Rally Finland on August 3-6, the week before AutoGlym Rally (practice event) and two weeks before Historic ERC Lahti. Because of this NATO thinguee, Rally Finland returned to the last weekend in July, ERC Lahti stayed in its place as it was confirmed on FIA calendar already and AutoGlym Rally happens now two weeks before Rally Finland, making it a tad worse practice event. This all was published in Finnish ASN calendar, but eventually changed at one point. NATO thing was spoken out loud in radio program in February.

from that link you will also find Regulations and RG1

one interesting thing in regulations is list of allowed cars in NATIONAL classes (all old S2000 are OK)

So now that Trump is fighting with Merkel, do you think there is a chance NATO will go away and we will have Finland in august?

and now entries also open for support race "VETOMIES", will close 26.6 midnight

    2 classes 4wd and 2wd

    Nelivetomies, Yleinen ja A-Juniorit
    Luokka 1 FIN R 4WD (sis.vanhentuneet KV-luokitukset ryhmissä A, Super
    2000 ja WRC) yli 2000 cm3
    FIN N 4WD (N ja R4 kansallisin erivapauksin) yli 2000 cm3

    Vetomies, Yleinen ja A-Juniorit
    Luokka 2 F enintään 3000 cm3
    FIN R 2WD enintään 2000 cm3
    V1600 enintään 1600 cm3

No "LEX KALLE" in regulations, so Kalle Rovanperä can not start with R5, he has to drive something older (he has Starlet and C2R2 in garage)

This year they can take more than 70 entries for VETOMIES
