Why is it a poor performance you wisekid? Maybe he's driving better than ever and is this the maximum for this weekend, that's not a poor performance. On Latvala onboard from the retirement there is some sharp impact on the corner just before loosing power (4:38 in). Could have contributed.

Could it have been a gearbox problem then? On the stream I thought I heard grinding gears when he was trying to get it running again. Also, Lappi had issues in Saredegna as well. Gronholm was quite fitting as guest presenter this week then...

FX camera - immediately after problem screen show N - gear and 0 rev, but car was running and crankshaft should rotate.
Face camera - Latvala searching something on his left. What he thinking to found there? secret "problem off" switch?

Still interesting to see the final outcome tomorrow. Neuville is slow today too, but better keep you head down and reach the finish slowly and get some points. Sorry for Latvala but he should meditate on the 100 times M-Sport prepared a perfect car for him and he binned it. Speaking about the Fords, same story year after year, they hype massively before Finland and cock it up. Should take it easy and wait patiently to see what the rally fortune keeper is inclined to give you. About Lappi - he was held in a factory team for so many years where he could learn many other things from that surrounding, not many other boys had been given these chances and patience. Suninen is very interesting how he juggles on the edge, he makes small mistakes everywhere but does not leave the road to hit rocks and trees. Tanak seems to be going consistently backwards this season.
