What a season we have on our hands...not since 2009 (and 2007 before that) we have seen someone besides a Frenchman lead the championship in the second half of the season! Unusual times for the current world champion I suppose. I can only Imagine what Lappi will be capable of once he completes a full season, same goes to Sunninen, most impressive on only his second rally....Great Job by Evans at the end there snatching that well deserved second place. Also congrats to Thierry, leading the championship now, will need to win Germany to have some breathing space from Ogier. Also hope Breen & Citroen will improve that car so we will see him go better than 5th.

What a great rally! Obviously happy for Lappi, Suninen, Hänninen and Huttunen, but also sad about Latvala's technical failure, Suninen and Hänninen losing positions on the last day, but still a super great rally!

Neuville into the lead and will have a clean road on the first day of Germany.

    I'm very happy.

Congrats to all top 4, pity for Latvala 2nd consecutive misfortune.

So why do you think Hyundai are not fast in Finland. Looks like their car is prepared well for any other surface but not these fast gravel with lot of big jumps. Could it be there is no fast enough driver for these during development phase? Neuville & Sordo were never fast here, probably Paddon was their best bet, but I don't know how much his input was decisive in car development. On shakedown it was clear the car doesn't handle jumps very well with nose lifting in the air. Could be they have more downforce at the back (or just more weight), which bodes well for more technical roads to get the maximum of the torque from corner exits, but the drivers must be careful with big jumps and taking them with more braking. Bigger downforce also increases the drag on the fast straights and that's another weak point, which was inclined by Neuville saying he has more confidence in the car when there was more grip at the second passes. Thoughts?

    Some ideas:

    - generally too low grip in the rear (their main issue in 2016), the car always looks very tail happy, after the Citroen dif. changes I'd say it's now the most tail happy of them all. Watch also the comparison vid vs 2017 polo in Finland.
    - car reacts very fast to steering input, makes it too nervous on the very fast and long corners
    - not enough aero grip (compared with Toyota and Ford)
    - not enough top speed
