There have been issues with all cars. Fiesta "small" issues all the time. Hyundai the big problem in Mexico with all cars. Toyota the brakes you mentioned that cost them any chance of top 5. Citroen blown engine....

one thing is to warm too much brakes in a very particular and unique situation, the other is to have all the time different sorts of "little" issues.

Interesting rally, not so much direct fighting but many turnarounds. The Citroens looked fast, Hyundai too once they got their setup right, Ford disappointing with the reliability.

I think this won't be a "normal" season. There is no "the season starts in Mexico/Argentina/Portugal", this season started in Monte Carlo and any points in the bag count more than potential to perform on the "regular" rallies. You can't rely on that because the cars are more sensitive to setup, more unreliable the drivers are still getting used to them so in reality things will be a lot less predictable. Speaking of drivers, Ogier is out of his comfort zone, Neuville is inconsistent and Meeke has a rocket under him as long as he can keep it on the road but the shocker is Latvala decided to have his most consistent start ever! Also I wouldn't be surprised if Tanak, Paddon or Breen got a win or more.

It's been a long while since 4 manufacturers have won in the same season, nevermind first 4 events, so yeah we can pretty much throw out the predictions and enjoy the ride, this one could be a classic!

Well Ford is leading both championships. So the "little" issues don't have that much impact after all. Not like blowing engine from first place and missing both win and rally2.

nobody said M-Sport is worse, just that some dynamics are difficult to understand. And yes, reliability wise it is fair to say that Fiestas had more issues than Toyotas.
