What an amazing driver that Ott is! I'm definitely rooting for him to take the win now, no doubt.
Also, Latvala best of the rest. Silver lining I suppose.

Live text on WRC+ quotes him saying "in many places I was lucky to get back in the lines just in time", which sounds like he was taking some risks.

Neuville is always a bit slow on the first stage of the day. We have to wait for the 2nd stage before we can conclude whether or not Neuville can catch Tanak.

An incredible split is followed by an incredible stage time - 15.6sec quicker than Suninen! "I tried my best but it was so slippery. In many places I was lucky to get back in the lines just in time." Tanak started the day trailing Neuville by 3.1sec. Neuville is 2.9sec slower at the midpoint split here. "I'm sure it will be close," Tanak says.
