Summary:
"7 tires puncture - 5 in race 2 in recce. In race two front tires probably could be my fault. No ideas where I punctured 3 rear tires - I know I didn't hit hard anything but tires came down from the rims anyway. Later Pirelli wondered too and told maybe tire rubber composition was the case. They will inspect these tires to find a reason.
Unfortunately no further plans yet for rest of a season."
These punctures looked very strange to me already before Ralf's interview. Ralf's trademark always have been ability bring car to the finish with no or minor damages. He did it perfectly on Acropolis (on Michelin...) which is way more rougher event and suddenly on Acores - bang... No excuses just my reflections.

They were and they had only one puncture altogether I think.

If it's enough reduction to enable some extra Rally1 cars with WRC Promotor help it's only a good thing if only for the next 18 months. WRC Promoter’s Senior Director of Sport, Peter Thul added:...
