Great rally from Toyota guys (with Lappi confirming his amazing talent) and Tanak. Bad day for Ogier; the 41s lost to Paddon aren’t surprising, but the 32 to Neuville (2nd on the road) seem a bit too much.

But Ogier’s bad day is nothing compared to Citroen nightmare. Maybe the C3 really has some tech issues (it’d be nice to see Breen’s footage) but sadly there’s no room for doubts on Meeke’s driving issues: he’s a ‘crasher’. On the top there’s also this poor pace from Mikkelsen, the one that was expected to save Citroen…it’s getting hard to see how they’ll manage to turnaround current situation. Still, fingers crossed for them: WRC needs a strong and competitive Citroen team!
very well summed up! exactly what i thought, especially about Ogier....yes, he is first on the road but like you said, look at Neuville, started just behind Ogier and he is way faster than him.

Most of this year Hyundai has been noticeably faster than Ford on slow and twisty stages.

Kinda like it...follow the first leg, then enjoy nice summer weather and do outdoor jobs, shopping...follow the second leg and start grilling, chilling, drinking, enjoying a nice saturday evening (last part not necessarily in the same order).

Quite interesting quote from Dani and Mikkelsen

As a translation of Andreas words: "Yes, I have a seat in factory Citroen, but now I must think twice, if I need that"

    He's saying:

"The car is setup for a bad/slow driving style, have to change it".

Also he looks genuinely suprised when they ask about the balance under braking (like a small boy caught doing something). Probably didn't notice the replay with that part got out. Admits that they "have to work on that".

In a way that's what Ogier did with Ford, complained it didn't suit him (Tanak is more about throwing car sideways into corners) and after going into the dead-end in Argentina where it just didn't turn at low speed (see powerstage replay from there), they changed the diff for him for Portugal and he was back on top.

Correction of the translation: "It`s not a Polo."
But to be serious, hope he gets a chance in next events. You can`t expect that after six missed events and a few test kilometers one is good enough to challenge for a win or even a podium place.
