Difficult to tell what's throwing Kris off since there is shade where the impact is from the onboard footage. But from what I've read it's a bump and then Kris is obviously going too fast to handle that bump.
When there is a roll, it's always right to question the driver. Either positioning, speed or both. Kris' roll is unfortunate, but it is avoidable.Last edited by BigWorm; 29th April 2017 at 10:38.

It's a rock that hit just under the engine or gearbox in Breen's case, several drivers before Kris hit it and probably pulled it out of the ground even more. Maybe the car has slightly softer suspension or even ran 10mm too low, you will never know. It's just random things.

The guy running after Meeke having that "exposed" rock even more is now leading the rally and most likely win it. Logic?

I thought it was solely driver error, until I saw the footage; car hits a bump/ rock, and is launched.....and off. Would you really notice such things whilst making notes on the recce? Much slower, and a different car. Citroen obviously still have a serious handling issue, that hasn't been sorted yet.
Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

Yes a combination of things, including the car and including the driver.
Was the car set to low, is there a fundamental problem with the Citroen and bumps, was Kris going quicker than anyone else on that corner, who knows. What I would say is there wasn't really anything wrong with Kris' line. If Kris was going slower then yes, he probably wouldn't have rolled.
Have you ever hit a pothole in the road and got a blowout? May have been nothing wrong with your road positioning and speed, and if you hit it at a slower speed it may not end up with a blowout, either way would you say it was your fault, or just bad luck?
