Early picks for the 2017 title?

With another year's experience I have a feeling about Desi Henry. But then again he does have his Fabia up for sale...

Could be wide-open assuming Elfyn Evans doesn't take part...

If Freddie Ahlin has another season I think he'll go well with a year's experience. He's really quick and just needs to cut out the mistakes.

Great story in MN that Chris Ingram is hoping to do the BRC next year in an R5 !

That would be excellent for him and the BRC if it happens.

Regardless of who does the championship just hope there is some more "noise" next year. Great that it has dragged itself back from the point of oblivion under the old management however it has yet to make any real impact publicity wise. Was so quiet at times I even forgot there was a round in Scotland happening until the day the event started. There's already been a lot of patting on the back going on in BRC circles but they need to look to the future and build especially as rallying in general in the UK is in a state of flux.

The R5 entry in the ERC hasnt been great in 2016 and with events like Ypres going to the BRC next year I can see why Ingram would prefer it.

He also lacks R5 driving experience so to learn the car and learn WRC(2) events would be really tough.

    Great news !

The future of rallying in Wales has been secured, with an agreement to avoid a large cost increase for using roads. https://t.co/qYS2h3sHvs https://t.co/rlTl91Yfle

Well done to all at Rally4Wales, and especially Jamie Edwards who has done so much. Every UK rallyfan owes him a pint....

However, it really shouldn't have come to this; the MSA were again asleep on the job.

Great work by Jamie and others involved. Without his enthusiasm the outcome may be have been somewhat different.

MSA of course will take all the glory but as said previously they were totally ineffective.
