Neuville got 1st choice as he was the best placed Hyundai driver in 2016 and chose to use number 5. Paddon took then number 4 and number 6 was left for Sordo...

This year's event was also totally dry which isnt always the case. Rain and fog could make it a lot more 'exciting' for those that cant appreciate the skill and precision involved on the dry.
