We are planning on sleeping in the car but what time do they actually shut/close the road that will be the stage the next day? If we drove in to the stage at 6pm the night before to find some suitable parking safely out of the way would this be possible?
Is there a timetable of road closures anyway?
Thanks

It used to be quite variable. When they expected snowfalls they sometimes closed the road already an evening before at least for motorhomes. Normally it used to be 2 or 3 hours ahead I think but maybe somebody can give a more recent information. I was not there since 2012 after all.

With the new 2017 cars I expect even bigger crowds for the Monte. This may mean the authorities will be stricter than usual.

No Loeb so I don't think that there will be more people there than in the past.

The temperatures are normally way higher than in Sweden but the air contains a lot of humidity and especially southern stages closer to the sea can feel a lot colder than they are. The temperatures also usually vary a lot. I experienced a range from -10 to +15 in one edition with snow, sun and even rain or fog. You won't make a mistake if You prepare for Sweden and Wales combined with some suncream on top, i.e. to be prepared both for cold and rain (to have spare clothes and shoes in case they become wet). If it's not needed You can always leave it in the car.

Yes I fear so too, you just need to look at the new cost for tourists to get into Venice and when everyone sees the amount of money being made others will soon follow, and prices will go up. As...
