More on the Rally Fest re Group B cars and other action:

"Saturday's venue takes some beating, as the event heads to historic Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire for a high-octane garden party. The action begins in the morning with the WRGB National Rally and, after a busy programme of entertainment featuring historic cars and Group B legends, culminates with the modern WRC heroes. Once they have completed their timed runs, the stars will park their cars and spend time signing autographs and posing for selfies with the fans."

    WRC, Rally GB

    Hello

Is anyone going to Rally GB this year?

I am thinking of going to the Cholmondeley RallyFest on the Saturday but I'm not sure if this also includes a stage to see the cars rallying or just somewhere to see the cars and meet the drivers.

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks

There's definitely a stage there, although I think the cars only do a single run on it. However, if it's anything like the Chirk stage from the last couple of years, the stage will consist of a couple of 'laps'.

Not sure if there's a map available yet.

Was anyone actually thinking this would affect Rally GB? Obviously there were issues reaching a deal, but given they'd announced the route and started charging for tickets - I think I'd assumed that they'd sorted something out for the rally above and beyond this new deal?

They're not soft are they? They are so desperate to keep the Welsh cash rolling in; even though the event doesn't have to be based in Wales if they were a bit less cash obsessed.
The future of the sport at grassroots is of more concern - that should really have taken priority.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???
