    Lack of commonsense

F1 and Bernie Ecclestone - lack of commonsense.
Any 'ringleader' of a sport wants to bring in new fans, whether it be at races or on tv.
So, what does Bernie do? Sign a deal with Sky, a subscription service that the majority of people in the UK don't have! Um, now, does Bernie need his head testing? Take a sport away from FTA, even highlights, and you will always get a reduction (sometimes drastic) in viewership. It is simple mathematics.
The BTCC, although clearly not the same as F1, have gained viewers and will keep gaining them, as it is FREE on ITV4.
If another FTA highlights deal, from 2019, is not made, F1 stands a chance of dying.
    Rant over.

Sky have already said they will run a highlights package and the British GP on a new FTA channel. What platforms that channel will be on remains to be seen. Probably not terrestrial, so still less accessible than the current highlights.

    .
Bernie doesn't have common sense, he has money-sense.

They say F1 has some of the brightest minds out there. Based on what decisions they take, what rules they agree on and so on, it appears that a group of dumb apes could do better.

They seem to only have ideas that take us in the wrong direction sadly. Not really sure where F1 will be in 5 or 10 years
I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy

I am not moaning about Sky. F1 generally is messing itself up. So it is about that which I moan
