Drivers call for overhaul of F1's 'ill-structured' governance
Apparently the F1 drivers have written an open letter where they ask F1's governance to be overhauled.
"We feel that some recent rule changes - on both the sporting and technical side, and including some business directions - are disruptive,
do not address the bigger issues our sport is facing and in some cases could jeopardise its future success," read a section of the letter. "We know
that among the leaders of the sport - be it the owners, their representatives, the governing body, the teams or other stakeholders - every individual
acts with the very best intentions.

"We would like to request and urge the owners and all stakeholders of Formula One to consider restructuring its own governance. The future directions and decisions of F1, be they short or long term, sporting, technical or business orientated should be based on a clear master plan. Such plan should reflect the principles and core values of Formula One."May the forza be with you

Just announced in UK i believe that F1 will become pay TV full time come 2019. So about a few thousand viewers only of the premier motorsport in a country where most F1 teams are based.
Bad news for F1's popularity generally I would say. Continuing it down the road to oblivion.I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy

Also announced - Qualifying will not change for the race in Bahrain.
I won't be watching it since this idiotic rule is still in place." Lady - I'm in an awful dilemma.
Moe - Yeah, I never cared much for these foreign cars either."

Bernie's response is a little bizarre, to say the least:
http://www.theguardian.com/sport/201...ill-structured
After reading his response letter several times, I still can't make any sense of what he's trying to say. I'm sure he's just trying to be snarky, but it just comes across to me as rambling and incoherent.

I'm starting to think that everything good that has happened in F1 for the past decade or so has been completely by accident. Being that the only thing good seems to be based on accident safety and/or prevention.
I came up with a great idea for qually though. I will have the local kids pull numbers and race down the street on their various bicycles, on foot, push scooters, and whatever else they have. I will set a timer and now and then I'll just point at a kid and tell them they are out. There will be pizza for the kids that can't get their shoes on in time to defend a position, so it will all be good.

Tänak got 20 points closer to Evans, but as the main reason was a bad rally for Evans, I would say that Evans lost 20 points to Tänak, not Tänak gained. The point is, if the other one does not...
