Bad luck for Lefebvre. After the second loop Basso is leading just 8.3s ahead of Camacho. Silva and Nunes also on the fight for the win, as there's still a long way to go. Pires (EvoX) best Gr.N and Paixão (Clio R3) leading 2wd.

I'm positively surprised of João Silva here. I know that he knows the island pretty well as a local, but still a good performance!

Sadly, Nunes was forced to retire today (broken disc) but the fight for the win is still huge, with Camacho leading just 5.8s ahead of Basso! Silva in P3 is also doing a great job, but he’s a bit far now. Pires (EvoX) is on a class of his own in Gr.N and Soares (208) is now leading 2wd. Unlucky rally for Lefebvre: he returned in Rally2 but retired again during the morning. Still 4 stages to go and an overall win fight to be decided till the end; Madeira always provides epic fights!

Great live streams from RTP... always loved the Madeira Rally.
Camacho lead increased by 3.2s on SS17... now 7.9s. Nice.#M-SPORTER

Huge congrats to Camacho/Calado and to the Vespas/Delta Team; they’ve waited a long time for this home win and they finally got it! Basso wasn’t able to respond to Camacho strong pace on the last section and finished 2nd. Silva was a brilliant P3, ahead of Campos and Tempestini. Pires won Gr.N and Soares, the local young hope, took 2wd win. Another great Madeira Rally, with a fantastic coverage from RTP Madeira; well done!
Btw, PSA R5’s have finally become reliable cars (better late than never!). Probably this is their most successful year. Good for them, good for the sport!

Ive been following the ERC rally in Poland but it was good to see the end of this one live on RTP.
I have also now watched quite a lot of the previous coverage via the RTP website as its available to watch anytime.
