Just read Paddon's and Tanak's statements and both are saying exactly the same. some concrete had came out of the gravel and it just airlifted their car to the cliff and that was it.

Today I managed to see four stages, both Caminha and Viana twice. Although, really hard day to watch the rally out of spectator zones. Some pics from those stages:

    RIP chasis #5 Hyndai i20 WRC'16

Amazing driving by Meeke and Veiby (that boy has really big balls, shame of that puncture). You'll see soon a video of what Meeke did...

    wow!!!

    Elfyn Evans said:

“We’re not 100 percent sure what the issue is but I don’t have the feeling that I normally have with the car. I’m just not getting the performance that I usually get from the Fiesta so the guys will have a look in service and hopefully we can find the culprit.

“It’s not normal to feel as though we are driving okay and have the guys that we have around us and Pontus [Tidemand] so far in front. He’s driving well for sure, but if I can beat him on his home turf in Sweden then it doesn’t make sense to not be beating him here!”

You can see what I said before at the end of the video. He reaches that narrow spot about 130/140km/h. I believe there will be some recordings closer to the little jump. You can see what it was hearing people and watching their faces:

Luckily nothing worse happened. This topic in such rallies and in such forrest must be more carefully adressed.
This is one of the things which I dont like - there is crashed car, burning, fire and smoke everywhere and nobody is interested. Everybody is taking care about themselves, nobody stops on the place of accident to check if anybody needs help (with exception of Tanak, but I am sure it was not his intention to stop there)...

For sure that is not true. Accident happened at 15:50. They have stopped the rally at 16:00, 10 minutes later. And they didnt show yellow flag to any of the crew, they have left them to do the stage normally until the finish... From perspective of normal people who are not rally fans this is a big failure...
