Rally Liepaja will be canceled for ERC and Latvian champs. Official decision tomorrow.
Today Winter Rally in Lithuania also canceled probably. Many crews today already withdraw as almost impossible to pass roads during the recce.

Is Eurosport or FIA suddenly responsible also for the crazy weather in Europe?

Not so easy nowadays. The weather has changed. It would be better to have a proper winter rally and the only place is in the northern Europe where the winter and snow is guaranteed!

As far as I know there is no interest in ERC from the event organizations there.

No indeed, Arctic rally was long time candidate for it but I think they don't have the resources to do it. But anyways FIAERC is not responsible for this, I think Liepaja is always around this date?

Well, official statement will be tomorrow, around 15:00 local time.
At least they had some ideas today, still...
National event would be cancelled anyway, because of no participants (it's double event, not many have resources for it), only 29 crews had applied.
And yes, Liepaja was always this time, but because there was Jannerraly before it, in mid January. And usually february is coldest month here. At least it should be. Still, I guess next year there should be some timing changes to catch proper winter conditions. But yes, this year is very unfortunate - all january there was plenty of snow and stable temperatures around -10C, but this monday it all started to melt frantically.
