Rovanpera deserves it, but how can he win the trophy, if he didn´t start (couldn´t start) in ERC?

Luky-calm and smart drive, no exaggeration, gr.N again on the podium...
About gr.N4: I remember the first drive of a Punto Grande S2000 in Italy in March 2006 (Ciocco), I was there; Andreucci destroyed N4 drivers. After the rally there was full of whining (interviews, magazines..) from N4 drivers that S2000 will destroy N4 cars, N4 are written off, blablabla....
After ten years we have successors of S2000 cars-much faster R5 cars, but the N4 are the same as ten years ago....and still capable to clinch podium on ERC level.....funny.
It´s possible on gravel, but not on tarmac. And one shouldn´t forget strong local drivers in Latvia and Estonia, both rallies showed local group N-drivers in strong positions in the last years.

For the PR probably. ERC likely trying to lure him in for the coming years.

Re: the competitivness of N4 cars, they are only really good on very fast gravel rallies such as this, and only then with very good drivers.

Flat out trophy for Rovanpera I won't argue with, although in the end 'old man' Sirmacis did win twice as many stages.

Why does Rovanpera deserve it? What did he do? Did he win the rally?

Chuchala was driving R5 car already in 2014 when he won the Polish championship. He then wanted to step up to the ERC, but couldn't find sponsors for this project. He had a 1-year break and then accepted the offer from Subaru Poland to compete in ERC2. I don't know what's next for him.

You should start by asking about the other guy as well. Son of the mere of the hosting city. Just saying...
