    Any other news so far?
I'm thinking about going to Sweden for the first time.
Just found a cheap accommodation north of Hagfors.

I probably have to decide between missing Shakedown or missing Sunday. What would be the better option?

For me, last day should be more interesting than the shakedown: do you remember Värmullsåsen last year? Mikkelsen was in the lead for 3 seconds before the last special stage.

Shakedown might just be gravel too, if they don't run the old stage instead

How are the conditions there now? I see that the Colin's crest stage is with snow but others? Two weeks ago around christmas time we had +8 degrees and no snow at all. Now two weeks later we have around -10-15 every day and a lot of snow already.

So probably no snow at Shakedown near Karlstad?

Look at the forecasts. Next week shows only below zero temperatures for Karlstad and snow on four days. It looks very good in my opinion. Forcasts for Hagfors and Kirkenaer look similarly good. It'll now be roughly a week with a moderate subzero temperatures without a snow cover which is enough to put the road in hard and icy condition. Now when the snowing starts, ground is cold enough so the snow will stay. It's still more than month until the event, but if the weather remains less or around zero degrees (I'd forecast colder weather, it's the heart of the winter coming), it should be very good conditions for the rally.

But under the snow only frozen gravel. Not so good. But snowbanks might be fine.

OK, it's need two or three days of warmer weather (which can happen) for truly icy road, but frozen gravel is better than muddy gravel imo. Also, if the weather stays below zero all the way through and it snows a lot, snowbanks could prove surprisingly soft. It'll still be a winter rally as it looks now.

Sorry, but it's way too early to tell and just pointless moaning.
