It's not so much the emotional issue, although that's part of it.

What I believe stirred people up was the fact it was the OP's first post - which one member zeroed-in on with his response. Therefore it was, pardon the pun, a dead-giveaway that he/she was looking for hits on that link.

Had it been that this person was a regular contributing member, the responses most likely would not have had the degree of negative feedback that followed.

I'll never watch a video, any video, that shows the last seconds of a persons life and find it entertaining. And certainly not in the case of one that highlights racing accidents.

I'm all for cutting some slack to first time posters but honestly pairing fatal accidents with entertainment is a very poor choice, to put it in a very civil way.
I wouldn't have anything against closing this thread.

I get that people need some slack when they join a forum, but it appeared he joined just to promote his video's. Then the fact that these videos are pretty tasteless, to real fans of motorsport.

Then using terms "entertainment" and asuch

Not much slack to cut IMO.
