    First thoughts..

Cars react much better to bumps etc, no bizarre Hollywood reaction to going sightly wide.
Playing with the controller on the Xbox and it's much easier to place the car at high speed than on Dirt Rally.
Only done a few stages using Your Stage and there are definitely some repeated sections.
Pace note delivery timing seems very random, some corners you can't make without prior practise.
Overall though I'm enjoying it so far.

I've got notes set quite early and haven't had many where I overshoot the corner, my problem is that some notes in a twisty section come really early and I forget them!

    My first thoughts,

I'm both happy and disappointed at Dirt 4.
Driving 2wd cars feels good, 4wd ok, but as everyone writes feels a bit like they are going as a train. Best there are the R5 cars.

But driving the Rwd cars feels unrealistic, not the same lovely feeling as the Dirt rally.

I also think it's very difficult to control the car when braking.

The stretches are ok, a bit boring to drive the same sections over and over again.

Spain works well just like Wales and Australia, but Sweden I think it's a disaster.

    Michigan is quite boring.

I will soon get back to Dirt Rally.

I really like the game so far. Have been playing on gamer mode, since I found the curve just a bit too steep on Simulation, somewhat like Dirt Rally. Some general comments: (I'm playing on PS4, with a controller)

-Having Nicky Grist back is terrific
    - Agree with some earlier comments about handling, mainly that it's very difficult to get the car to oversteer w/out using the handbrake, although this seems to depend on the car. For example, Escort Cosworth and Fiesta R5 will not oversteer unless really forced, whereas 2001 Focus WRC oversteers nicely in the corners just using foot brake.
    - Small details are what really makes this a great game for me: Nicky's comments at the start/end of the stage, the fact that you have to get the car to the marshall rather than just flying over the finish, the weather changes, the fact that the intercom will sometimes go out, or lights will flicker out on a night stage, or you'll come across an accident on the stage etc etc......all these little details make it much more enjoyable.

Am I being blind or can you not change brake bias? I can see pressure but that's it.

Also can you not change the button layout on the xbox controller?

Yes, you can change the brake bias. When you're in service, go to Tuning, I think it's in there. You can change all the buttons on the PS4, so must be same for Xbox......

To change buttons, from main menu go to Options/Extras, then Input, then Device Management, then Input Bindings.

To change brake bias, once in service area, go to Tune Vehicle, then the Brakes tab.

Multiplayer rallycross is frustrating, I used to be pretty competitive on DR but can't get the pace

I tried rallycross for the first time today, so far just S1600 and rx2, but the cars feels so much better than the rallycars, really good work.
Although, in Rally, I found some cars can be also fun with some improved Settings, for me it´s the R5 and NR4 class and the Focus 2007. I still hope codemaster will add more different road tiles in the future, and specially fix the strange car behaviour in Rally, obviously they know how to do it (like in rx).
