    Roberto Merhi completes the jigsaw.

Manor-Marusia (M&M) have announced Roberto Merhi as their second driver. To be honest I had to google his name to find out who he was. He must be mega rich because his lower league form certainly doesn't indicate a Formula 1 driver. Finishing 3rd in Formula Renault 3.5 in his first season on paper looks quite respectable, but driving these cars certainly doesn't set you up for F1 (neither does 3 test sessions for Caterham). Although interestingly his new team mate Will Stevens only finished 6th

But good luck to him all the same

The Old Republic was a stupidly run organisation which deserved to be taken over. All Hail Palpatine!

"Roberto Merhi will make his F1 race debut this weekend in Australia after being confirmed as Marussia's second driver for the 'opening rounds' of the 2015 season.

"Kevin Magnussen was also linked with the vacancy due to Manor’s technical partnership with McLaren. However, the Dane now finds himself back in a race seat with the Woking team after Fernando Alonso was advised to miss the race to recover from the concussion he suffered during a testing crash in Barcelona."

Wonder if they have a new livery. Will probably be basically the same as they won't be able to afford paint...
