Usual story, nothing outside first few in each class. No doubt something will turn up later. Although Daniel and Dean should be blowing their own trumpet at such a big event. Dean's site not updated, no tweets for 2 days and Daniel's Twitter feed went from before SD straight to the press conference.

Grondal is telling that he must start behind a Mitsubishi tomorrow. He was 40 sec faster than the Mitsu on shakedown...on 4km!! The organizers will not let him start before or not give him 2 minutes or more. The rally is destroyed before start. He will be in the dust all friday.

Nevertheless it is a stupid decision to put N4 cars in front R5/RRC/S2000.

I think the whole car is quite different to the other R5s. Only time will tell but I find it hard to believe there would be anything fundamentally wrong with it after all that testing. Anyway, Pontus was the fastest R5 on shakedown but we'll see what the rally proper will bring.

Let´s hope all rallyfans behave and not hinders the stages. And causing severe accidents. (I´ve been looking at the preview on WRC.com.

Wet conditions. Portuguese Autosport brought something to the table... the WRC2 crews are using a WRC spec tyre that is harder than the spec Meeke and other CPR runners are using.
