is not a huge surprise. The surprise, to me, is that he stayed as long as he did. Series management still doesn't have a clear plan for the future and it's unlikely they will develop one soon. The 2015 schedule is already a jumble from this year.

On the good side is the fact that Beaux brought some clear thinking to Race Control - something sadly lacking in his predecessor the other BB. Sure, there were a few complaints about some of the decisions but then there were complaints about some of Wally's decisions during his years and Wally was the gold standard which all series stewards must be measured against. It will be interesting to see who takes the spot and also interesting to see who, if any, of the supporting cast in Race Control stay on.

Best of luck to Beaux with the sports cars. He's been there before but I have to wonder how much has changed / will change with NASCAR now in charge.
